"Steps to perfection: choose our anti-vibration pads for an enhanced music experience."
Enter the world of CERADISC, where perfect technology works like an artist, gradually shaping and refining the details until it finally creates a beautiful work of art. In this way, even your musical experience can be shaped to perfection. The sound of the instruments will be more natural, detailed and precise. Our pads, or feet underneath the components, are that step.
So how does it work? It's true that even musical tones are vibrations, but if you add the ones that aren't supposed to be there, it will ruin your musical experience. These unwanted ripples also act on the electrical components themselves (voltages are induced on them, which are fed into the signal) and the result is inaccuracies and noise in the music you listen to.
The ball is the perfect shape. It only ever touches one point on the pad, and the other if something flat is placed on it. It is known from physics that a true single point fit is excellent at minimizing vibration. The material contributes to this - ceramic with the highest possible hardness, only diamond is harder.
Another secret is the material the pads are made of, their shape and, of course, the precisely calculated placement of the balls.
Each CERADISC model is a unique masterpiece of this technology. We always produce them with multiple ways of mounting the instrument. Either you just put them underneath, for example underneath an amplifier, or you put the speaker tips in the recessed version, or we have a model that you put your cables on top of.
CERADISC 80 is the peak with sixteen balls in two layers. They are designed for really heavy loudspeakers and heavy audio components up to 500 kg using four feet.
Vibration Absorption: ceramic materials have the ability to absorb mechanical energy that is in vibrations. When vibrations reach the pad, the balls begin to vibrate. This vibration is actually the energy gained from the incoming vibration. The balls absorb this energy and this reduces the intensity of the vibration which is transmitted further.
Energy diffusion: the ceramic balls have a solid structure and are separated from each other. When vibrations are transmitted to these balls, the energy is transferred between them. This process of energy diffusion causes the vibrations to gradually decrease and weaken.
Reflection and diffusion: When vibrations are transmitted, some of the energy may be reflected or diffused in different directions. Ceramic balls have properties that allow this energy to be reflected and diffused efficiently. This dissipates the vibrations and reduces their intensity.
Simply said, the ceramic balls in the anti-vibration pads act as vibration absorbers that absorb and diffuse the vibration energy, ensuring that this energy does not spread further into the device or the surface on which the pads are placed. In this way they help to improve the overall sound output and minimize the disturbing effects of vibration.
